World Test Championship & Standings is your one-stop hub for the fourth cycle of the World Test Championship. It curates everything you need to know about the elite competition for all nine Test-playing nations, including India’s full schedule, key stats, and live points updates.

The World Test Championship (WTC) adds context and structure to bilateral Test series, making each fixture matter more than ever. It has become the premier international tournament in the longest format, contested by all nine ICC member Test-playing teams, with two teams from each of the six series qualifying for the WTC final at Lord’s in mid-2027. Teams earn points based on match results, with 12 points awarded for a win and four for a draw. Teams are also ranked using a percentage calculation (points won / points contested) to prevent teams playing more Tests than others from gaining an advantage over them.

India have previously competed in the final twice, losing to New Zealand in 2021 and Australia in 2023, but have a good chance of reaching the summit this time around, with the Indian tour of England (5 tests) and home series against Australia (5 tests) crucial for their hopes. All teams must complete their scheduled six series before the final takes place, and tiebreakers are applied (in order) to determine the top two teams, based on the percentage of points they have earned.
